A seasoned tabla artist and dedicated educator, Chandan Kumar Thakur brings over a decade of classical training and performance to Ikigai Schools. Trained in the Banaras Gharana and holding an M.A. in Tabla from Banaras Hindu University, his approach blends deep tradition with modern classroom clarity.
Chandan has taught at leading institutions like Dev Samaj Modern School and Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, and has performed with legends such as Pt. Devanandan Mishra and Dr. Vijay Kapoor. His classes at Ikigai balance technique, theory, and live expression—cultivating skill, discipline, and a lasting love for tabla.
