Azhar Shakeel Khan’s journey with the violin began at the age of five, nurtured by the rich musical legacy of the Delhi Gharana. His father, the esteemed tabla exponent of the Delhi Gharana, Ustad Shakeel Ahmed Khan, and his grandfather, Ustad Usman Khan Sahib, a celebrated vocalist of his era, played a pivotal role in nurturing his passion for music. Guided by legendary maestros, Azhar developed a profound connection with Indian classical music. A gifted performer by age 14, he has graced prestigious stages across India and abroad, accompanying icons like Padma Shri Shovana Narayan.
